I am N. Damodaran and I practice physical exercises and meditation, studied by me under the Village Service project, without fail, every day. Manavalakkalai courses, conducted under the Village Service Project of the World Community Service Center, have proved to be useful to every one of us. Many. Who were under treatment for diabetes for long, have found it easy to control their sugar levels by practicing the exercises regularly. The practices have also helped relieve fatigue and rejuvenate the body and limbs. Feelings in terms of caste or religion have been overcome and people live in harmony, enjoying the benefits of individual, family and societal peace. Good health, respect for one’s elders and cleanliness prevail everywhere.

I, who so far have never addressed an audience, do so with the grace of the almighty Divine. I came to understand about the Divine State only with the advent of Manavalakkalai practices in our village. I feel that the Divine State was behind the introduction of the course in our village. Ramanathapuram village has been transformed into a temple with this. Duraiyur Village was adopted under the Village Service Project of the World Community Service Center and Manavalakkalai Yoga was taught to its residents for free. People, who were taught a simplified form of yoga, have become physically and mentally healthy. All this was probably made possible through the blessings received in return for the noble deeds performed by our ancestors. I, on behalf of the people of the village, express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved with the Project.

Divine grace and the noble deeds performed by our ancestors were probably the reason why people from our village were blessed with an opportunity to study and practice Manavalakkalai Yoga under the Village Service Project. The practices have rejuvenated us physically and mentally, helping us perform our duties better.Meditation practices, which bring down the frequencies of the mind waves, have provided us with peace and tranquility. Masters, polite and humble in their behavior, took great care while teaching the participants. The practices have helped us remain healthy and active.

Our Village was adopted under the Village Service Project and courses in accordance with Manavalakkalai Yoga conducted. It has transformed the people and made them physically, mentally and spiritually healthy. People have been awakened spiritually and come to realise that everyone is an equal and the same. I am Duraisamy, a farmer from the village. I used to suffer from chest and hip pain as well as frequent bouts of anger. Vanakkam. Vazhga Valamudan. “Service to man is service to God”-it was in keeping with this noble sentiment that Manavalakkalai practices, as designed by Vethathiri Maharishi, were introduced in our village for the benefit of Lakshmipuram Jambuliputhur residents, under the Village Service Project of the World Community Service Center. People from the village, who have studied and practiced simplified physical exercises, KayaKalpa, meditation and introspection under the Project have found them beneficial. Practicing them during the last one year hasimproved their ways of thinking. It is a matter of great pleasure that people have begun to live in peace and amity whereby our village has been transformed into a place of peace.

People’s Feedback

I am 47 years old and have been working as a conductor in the transport department for the last 15 years. Crowds within the bus used to make me nervous, with my hands shivering and unable to issue tickets. I was served with show-cause notices many times, which came in the way of my mental and family peace and deprived me of sleep at night. Visits to psychiatrists and doctors turned to be futile and I was on the verge of applying for voluntary retirement from service. It was around then that I happened to attend classes in Manavalakkalai Yoga after applying for amonth’s leave. I learnt physical exercises and meditation, which I began to practice regularly. I was able to overcome my problems and attend to my duties without trouble. Doctors have informed me that I am physically and mentally fit for which I am happy.
