People from our village have studied simplified physical exercises, Kaya Kalpa Yoga, meditation and introspection practices under the Village Service Project of the World Community Service Center. They have become good at living in peace and harmony with the others. Having freed themselves of evil habits like smoking and use of alcohol and drugs, they now live in amity and feelings of universal brotherhood. The practices have transformed our village into a haven of good health and peace.

Quarrels near street water taps, ill-feelings between neighbours, people of all ages suffering from a variety of ailments like arthritis and diabetes was common in our village. But things have changed since the time people from the village began to attend Manavalakkalai Yoga classes; they are happy and bless each other with the words Vazhga Valamudan regularly. It is impressing to see people, who had earlier suffered from knee and hip pain, sit in Vajrasana in the classroom. Village Service Project has turned our village into a place of peace and good health

People’s Feedback

I was afflicted with cancer and have been undergoing treatment for the past 2 years. I joined Manavalakkalai Yoga classes conducted in our village. The practices have halted spread of the disease and also prevented it from progressing to the next stage. They have been useful in other ways also. I studied meditation and Kaya Kalpa and they help me overcome anger and mental strain. My humble thanks to everyone.

Manavalakkalai Yoga, which helps safeguard and improve physical, mental, spiritual and social wellbeing, was taught to the people from our village under the Village Service Project of the World Community Service Center. Manavalakkalai Yoga, introduced in our village, has proved to be a very great blessing to all of us. Physical exercises and meditation practices have turned to be beneficial to all. People have commenced to live in good physical and mental health, whereby our village has been transformed into a haven of peace and good health. We have constructed a Temple of Consciousness where all people from the village can practice, every day. We feel proud and happy about all this.

I have studied Manavalakkalai Yoga and practice it every day. I used to suffer from sinusitis which produced frequent bouts of sneezing. The practices have relieved me to a very great extent. I had a habit of buying things, even unnecessary items, which I was able to overcome through the practice of Moralisation of Desires. I, who used to get angry and punish my children often, am now able to control my anger and live in peace.
