I express my sincere gratitude to the functionaries of the World Community Service Center, who had served selflessly to teach physical exercises for physical health, Kaya Kalpa for spiritual health, meditation for mental peace, introspection practices for social wellbeing and Brahmagnana for realisation of the Eternal Truth, to the people from our village and transforming it into a haven of good health and peace. We also express our thanks to them for having cut down the unwanted trees and de-silting the ponds in our village. Thank you. Vazhga Valamudan.

I am a resident of Malayapalayam village. Doctors had informed about a block in my heart and low cholesterol levels. Unhappy and desolate I seriously thought of leaving the village, my family and possessions to go elsewhere. Periodical examinations revealed fluctuations in my cholesterol levels. I began to practice Manavalakkalai Yoga, which to my own surprise helped me overcome my problems. Cholesterol levels have become normal for which I am very happy. Ours being a joint family, I have persuaded the others to study the practices and we do the exercises together every day. Thank you. Vazhga Valamudan.

I am 60 years old and used to suffer from insomnia and headache, with blood-sugar levels at 400 and above. I had to take 4 tablets every day. Physical exercises and meditation practices have however helped bring down my blood-sugar levels and also provide me with good sleep. I have stopped taking medicines. Thank you. Vazhga Valamudan.

I am 47 years old and have been working as a conductor in the transport department for the last 15 years. Crowds within the bus used to make me nervous, with my hands shivering and unable to issue tickets. I was served with show-cause notices many times, which came in the way of my mental and family peace and deprived me of sleep at night. Visits to psychiatrists and doctors turned to be futile and I was on the verge of applying for voluntary retirement from service. It was around then that I happened to attend classes in Manavalakkalai Yoga after applying for a month’s leave. I learnt physical exercises and meditation, which I began to practice regularly. I was able to overcome my problems and attend to my duties without trouble. Doctors have informed me that I am physically and mentally fit for which I am happy.

I have studied Manavalakkalai Yoga and continue to practice it every day. I had some problems with the nerves in my eyes for the last few years, which failed to respond to medication; but eye exercises, performed both in the mornings and evenings, have cured me completely and restored normal vision. Blessing have reunited me with my brother’s family after a period of 35 years. I thank the functionaries of the Village Service Project for all this. Vazhga Vaiyakam. Vazhga Valamudan.

Medical Camps, Farmer’s Welfare Camps and Environment Awareness Camps, were held in our village. Physical exercises and meditation practices have brought changes for the better. I myself have people from our village practicing diligently, which has transformed the place into a haven of good health and peace.

I had problems with my nerves, which even 6 months of treatment could not cure. At the end of 1 month of Manavalakkalai Yoga practices, the doctor has advised me to discontinue the use of medicines. Unfortunately, I, in accordance with the advice of some friends and relatives, stopped the practices, on account of which the problems returned. I had to undergo medical treatment, once again. I then came to realise the importance of the practices as well as the fact it was left to me to take care of my health. I took up the practices once again on the advice of my husband as well as the functionaries of the Village Service Project. I, now, am in good health. Vazhga Valamudan.

Panchayat President’s Address
The floods of 2015 destroyed many parts of our village. Relief for the people, affected by the floods, was provided by many philanthropic organisations in the form of food, clothes and even financial assistance. The World Service Community Service established a hollow-brick manufacturing unit to assist the people. They also taught the people physical exercises and meditation practices for attaining physical and mental wellbeing, as well as social and spiritual awareness. The practices have helped the people to a very great extent. I, on behalf of the people from the village, express my heartfelt gratitude to the individuals behind the Village Service Project.
